MILESTONE MOMENT: First Day of School

Today was Violet's first day of daycare. The whole thing was fairly uneventful and tearless (well, only one tear out of each eye -- which is child's play at this point). V was great and her teacher Maria already loves her.

I'm pragmatic enough to know that I was away from V for three nights last week, so a day at daycare is nothing. That being said, I thought I would be a little sad, instead I was relieved.

Thanks to Comcast and their crappy product, our internet was out today...which means our phone was also out. That made work "virtually" (get the pun...hilarious) impossible, so (without having to worry about about V being comfortable) I headed to Starbucks.

Working from Starbucks was fine, until they put on the new salsa CD they are hocking...and turned it up. Real professional to sound like you're sitting in a Latin bar during a conference call.
