We made it exactly three months, four weeks and three days before Violet had her first temper tantrum.
Violet currently likes to "fight" sleep. She's super fidgety and whiny before bedtime and then she suddenly passes out...it is hysterical. Really, we have no reason to complain about this. The fidgety/whiny part is typically less than five minutes long...well, for me anyway. She likes to put on a much longer show for Dave.
Side note: I don't feel sorry for Dave. V is already a Daddy's girl. He gets better smiles, cooing and laughing than I do, so it is only just that he also receive better spells of fussing.
Anyway, last Thursday night, during bedtime, Violet got really mad at me and she began to smack me in the face and claw at my mouth and eyes. I know she's a baby, but it hurt. Her little baby hands are strong and her claws are sharp.
This incident also let me know that I'm going to have a tough time in the future staying serious while disciplining. The whole time she was clawing at me, all I could do was laugh.

Random fact for the day.
Dave was doing some research on the actor Mark Harmon. It is a long, boring story as to why Dave was doing research on Mark Harmon (best known by us as the teacher in Summer School).
Well, it turns out that Mark Harmon is the uncle of the infamous twins in the hair band Nelson...they are also the sons of Ricky Nelson and grandsons of Ozzie and Harriet Nelson. It's weird. They're a totally b-list Hollywood mega family. If I played the Hollywood Stock Exchange, I would definitely buy some Nelson family stock.
Mark Harmon is also married to Pam Dawber, AKA. Mindy of Mork and Mindy fame.

Laughing while disciplining is a HUGE problem at my house. If you figure out a way to avoid it, let me know, because right now all I can do is just bite my tongue.

Yeah, she is mad because you are disrespecting her. Watch out for even more violent acts in the future......head butts and biting.
She already head butts. It kills. Her little soft head gives, whereas my teeth do not.
ya and Tracy Nelson is the Nelson twins sister. You didn't need google for that--my sister knows every single thing there is to know about the Nelson twins--I am guilty by proxy.
I guess this is what I have to look forward to in roughly 6 weeks or so then!
I forgot that JJ was (is) a Nelson fan. Jill used to love them too.
