I totally need to do that to our kitchen chairs and table....any tips to remove the wax and varnish they have previously been stained with would be good!!

I took care of the old finish two ways.1. Left the finish alone and used a good reddish spray primer. Then spray painted.2. Did a minor sanding job and then spray painted.The finish on #1 looks better. There's not that big of a difference, but #1 was less work and it looks better.
