PROJECT: Red Chairs

We refinished our breakfast table four years ago and we just got to the chairs yesterday.

I used Rustoleum High Gloss Enamel -- this paint is the business. The coverage is awesome. It took me two hours to paint three chairs.

BEFORE - Boring

AFTER - Sassy

I totally need to do that to our kitchen chairs and table....any tips to remove the wax and varnish they have previously been stained with would be good!!

I took care of the old finish two ways.

1. Left the finish alone and used a good reddish spray primer. Then spray painted.

2. Did a minor sanding job and then spray painted.

The finish on #1 looks better. There's not that big of a difference, but #1 was less work and it looks better.
