NOTE: You may be thinking, "Why would make something to give your kid more access to counter tops and other dangerous spaces?" Oh, because she's learned how to climb on top of them anyway...this way it's slightly more safe. It's definitely more safe than the trapeze act this kid has been performing to brush her teeth.
I had the idea to do a step stool inlaid with pennies...cause everyone loves money (don't lie to yourself). I bought (meaning I endured the hell that is IKEA), painted and built the step stool and Dave designed and inlaid the pennies...basically the opposite of what we each did for last year's gift.
The picture of the stool itself is not great, but we love how it turned out.
Know what's more fun than Violet's new stool? The trash that was sitting on our front porch. Gah.

Happy Birthday V! She looks SO grown up in this picture. I LOVE that you make V presents. I hope one day she realises how lucky she is.
I've got a plan for Isla's 2nd bday present too, but who knows when/if I'll ever get time to finish it!
