I haven't had a chance to make anything for a while (I mean, aside from a child and house renovation). I missed the gratification of starting a project that you can quickly complete. Thanks to my friend Rachel, we knocked out some crayon rolls last night. They're super easy to make and they're super cute.
If I know your kid well enough to buy them a present, there's a good chance they're going to get one of these.

they look great Bethany!
I am going to toot my own horn....I am so glad that my birthday present to Adele & Zane influenced some sewing moments. Now, I can order my birthday presents form friends instead of Etsy. Sorry Etsy person.
So cute. I am going to have to copy these.
I saw those in a magazine a while ago. I was tempted to get them for V at Christmas time. So glad I didn't.
Zane loves his!
Just had a thought - for your grown-up friends: you could adjust the dimensions slightly and make a make-up brush carrier. Ahem...my birthday is in December.
Alanna -- I'm already ahead of you. I have an idea. I think I'm gonna host a craft night with options on different types of roll-ups.
I saw these a while back but never got around to making some. They look like a good idea for the worlds longest road trip in the near future. How easy? If I can remember which box the sewing machine is packed in, I might have to give them a try.
I wish I lived in Houston so I could partake in roll-up making night. I have a new sewing machine and will need to get details from you. Good work!
