Why God Created Barbie Movies

VIOLET: "Mom, why did God create movies?"

MOM: "God made people and people make movies for several different reasons. Sometimes they make movies to make people laugh, sometimes to cry, sometimes to bring an issue to light, sometimes to educate us."

VIOLET: "Do you know why God made Barbie movies?"

MOM: "No. I do not (thinking: to torture parents)."

VIOLET: "I do. He made them to bring joy to children. Children like me. They bring me joy."

Tonight we watched "Barbie: Princess Charm School." It was the third time Violet watched it today. It brought her joy.
