Did you know that there are pumas in Central Texas? Well there are and they can eat small children and well, just generally jack you up - they're pumas.
Our fence was supposed to be started today, but it's raining in Canyon Lake, so they're starting tomorrow. We are building a 6-foot fence (actually 6' on frontage, 7' on surround) to "deter" deer.
How many additional feet are needed to keep the damn pumas out?
Also, for those who have made fun of me for adding barbed wire to the top of the surround...not so funny now, is it?

Uh...I actually think that's bad ass if you are really adding barbed wire to the top of your fence.
I'm not laughing about the barbed wire . . . that's the problem with the country for me . . . to many wild animals and more troubling the darn creepy crawlers.
I don't joke about barbed wire.
M - One of the things I like about this property is that it's out in the country, but doesn't seem "too" out in the country. You'll have to visit when you're back from globetrotting : )
This made me chuckle....I look forward to hearing all your coutry learnin' stories. I think six feet with barbed wire will keep you safe! Now if only I could build a frog proof fence around my house!
And you used to laugh at me about fearing my kids being eaten by bears or stomped by moose! Pumas are bad ass. Sounds like your barbed wire on the top will be for good use even though it may look like a Branched Davidian compound.
